What does peok cost?

peok is free for up to 25 people — permanently, no credit card required. If you need more, choose Plus (up to 250 people) from €9/month or Pro (unlimited) from €21/month, each with yearly billing and a 14-day free trial.

How do I add a new person?

Use the "New person" button in the people overview. A first name is enough — you can add details like birthday, interests or notes at any time.

Under Settings → Reminders you choose how many days in advance you want to be notified — by email, and optionally by push in your browser or on your phone.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored on EU servers (Supabase EU region) and is subject to the GDPR. Nobody but you has access — not even the peok team.

What happens when I enable the AI?

The AI is opt-in: only after you enable it in the settings is the data of the relevant people temporarily sent to the AI provider when you ask a question. While it's off, your data never leaves peok.

Can I export or import my data?

Yes. Under Settings → Export data you can download a complete archive at any time (including photos). The same archive can be imported again later — for example when moving to a new account.

Is there an app for my phone?

peok is a web app and needs no app store: open peok.de in your browser and choose "Add to home screen". After that peok starts like an app — including push notifications.

How do I change my password or set up a passkey?

Under Settings → Sign-in & security you can change your password and add passkeys (Face ID, fingerprint, security keys).

Am I allowed to store data about other people?

peok is your private notebook — much like an address book or diary. You are responsible for the content: keep what you need for your personal relationships, and don't share these notes publicly.

How do I delete my account?

Under Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes all your data completely and irreversibly — export it first if you want to keep it.

What does "unlimited" AI requests mean on Pro?

Accepted Answer

Pro has no fixed monthly cap on AI requests. To protect against abuse, a fair-use limit of 1,500 requests per month applies — in normal use you'll practically never reach it. Only above that may the request rate be temporarily throttled.

What rights do I have over my data?

Your data belongs to you. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, data portability (export) and erasure (Art. 15–20 GDPR). You can trigger a full export of all your data and the permanent deletion of your account yourself at any time in the settings — without going through support.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Any time in the settings, effective at the end of the current billing period. Afterwards your account automatically continues on the free plan. As a consumer you also have a 14-day right of withdrawal.

What happens to my data when I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

When you delete your account, your content (people, notes, photos, relationships) is permanently removed. Remnants may persist in technical backups for a short transitional period until they are automatically overwritten. Invoice and payment data may need to be retained longer due to statutory retention obligations, kept separate from your content.

Do I have to connect Google Contacts or Telegram?

No. Both integrations are entirely optional and must be actively enabled by you (opt-in). You can disconnect them again at any time in the settings. As long as you don't enable them, no data whatsoever is transmitted to Google or Telegram.
